Welcome to Woodbury Eyewear at Friedberg Eye Associates! Our optical shop offers a variety of frames and lens choices to meet all of your optical needs. We accept Vision Service Plan, Davis Vision, Eyemed, Spectera and other types of insurances.
Our opticians have almost 40 years of combined experience! They will help you choose a frame and lens that accommodates your prescription, lifestyle and budget. Whether you need glasses for daily use, sports or hobbies Woodbury Eyewear can guide you and service all of your eyewear needs.
Our services range from trouble-shooting eyewear purchased from other optical shops, adjustments, cleanings, and frame repairs. In addition, we have accessories and cleaning supplies for your eyeglasses.
Marisol Grosso has worked at Woodbury Eyewear since 2009 and has been a licensed optician in the State of New Jersey since 2006. She attended Camden County College and obtained her certification in Ophthalmic Science in 2005. Prior to coming to Woodbury Eyewear, Marisol has worked at a variety of optical shops. As the lead optician, Marisol has extensive experience in fabricating, repairing and trouble-shooting eyewear issues. Her attention to detail has resulted in the implementation of procedures that have succeeded in increasing efficiency and reducing errors. Marisol's enthusiasm for helping others and personal interest in the field of opticianry is what makes her a talented optician. Her ability to enhance the customer care process with a professional and positive attitude has resulted in long term customer retention. In addition, Marisol is a bilingual speaker in English and Spanish.
John Pinizzotto completed the Ophthalmic Science program at Camden County College in Blackwood, New Jersey. He graduated in 1984 and was the recipient of the Norman Snedeker Award for Outstanding Scholastic Achievement. He served his ophthalmic dispensers apprenticeship with Ralph S. Bullock & Son Guild Opticians, mainstays in the community with locations in Woodbury Heights and Glassboro New Jersey. Upon completion of his apprenticeship, he worked at Bullock Opticians for 31 years. John’s optical experience is not limited to the fitting and dispensing of eyewear. At Bullock’s, he was one of the main fabricators of custom eyewear. He has extensive experience in edging, finishing and tinting of lenses. That knowledge helps greatly when assisting patients in their selection of the best frames and lenses for their prescriptions. John joined our team in September of 2015, bringing more than thirty years of technical and customer service experience.
Tammy Giancaterino obtained her Associates Degree in Applied Science in May 2015, from Camden County College. After completing her degree, she earned her license as a New Jersey optician in May 2016. Prior to becoming a licensed optician, Tammy has worked as a certified ophthalmic technician for four years at Friedberg Eye Associates. She has extensive knowledge of the medical aspect of the eye and became an expert in fitting contact lenses. While attending Camden County College, Tammy was awarded the Virginia Blair Clevenger Scholarship Award and the Opticians Association of New Jersey Scholarship Award for academic achievement. Tammy continues to help patients by promoting premium products and addressing visual needs that fit each patient on an individual basis. Working well together with the physicians and staff she is able to enhance visual growth in our optical department.
Catharine Banks joined Woodbury Eyewear in May of 2016 and has 10 years of optical experience. Catharine has obtained many certifications while she was a Florida resident. She was a Licensed Optician in the State of Florida, certified by the American Board of Opticianry and National Contact Lens Examiner before relocating to New Jersey in 2016. Catharine is in the process of obtaining her ophthalmic dispensers license in the State of New Jersey. She specializes in custom optics and fashion eyewear selection. She works diligently to make sure you are styled with your new eyewear and is sensitive to everyone's self image. Catharine will spend the time working with and educating customers to ensure customer satisfaction.
